Within its annual program of visits to EU member states and countries progressing toward EU accession, representatives of European Movement Norway (Europabevegelsen), led by Mr. Carl Schiøtz Wibye, former Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway in Skopje, paid a visit to Alkaloid.

The delegation was received by Mr. Zhivko Mukaetov, CEO and President of the Management Board of Alkaloid. During the visit, the guests were introduced to the company’s operations, its production portfolio, market presence, and corporate activities. The representatives of European Movement Norway were particularly impressed by Alkaloid’s rich heritage, its collective sporting successes, and its long-standing commitment to supporting culture, education, and the community.”

Carl Schiøtz Wibye served as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway in Skopje from 2004 to 2009. On the initiative of his wife, Mrs. Norunn Wibye, and with the support of several Macedonian companies and organizations, including Alkaloid, a Steinway concert piano was procured in 2008 for the Macedonian virtuoso Simon Trpcheski.

European Movement Norway is part of a wider pan-European voluntary organization founded in 1949, with Winston Churchill among its founding members. The movement actively promotes European integration and works to strengthen cooperation among European nations.

Mukaetov has held the position of Consul General of the Kingdom of Denmark since 2007 and was appointed Consul of the Kingdom of Norway in 2023.
