THE TRAJCHE MUKAETOV FOUNDATION AWARDS 40 NEW SCHOLARSHIPS IN THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC YEAR

The Trajche Mukaetov Foundation has awarded 40 scholarships to students at the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Medicine at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, for the eighteenth consecutive year. As required in the public call for applications, the Foundation’s Management Board selected the 2025/2026 academic year recipients from the shortlist proposed by the Scholarship Committees, composed of representatives of the Foundation, the two faculties, and the students.

The Trajche Mukaetov Foundation awarded 40 new scholarships for the new academic year, 20 of which to students at the Faculty of Pharmacy and 20 to students at the Faculty of Medicine at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University. As in previous years, the Foundation will also award a one-time €1,200 award in denars to the best students of the generation from both faculties. The winners of this award are Isidora Davitkovska from the Faculty of Pharmacy (GPA 9.77) and Jovana Cvetanovska from the Faculty of Medicine (GPA 9.98), both of whom are scholarship recipients of the Trajche Mukaetov Foundation.

"At a time when artificial intelligence is becoming an inevitable part of everyday life, the importance of the human element, especially quality education, is more important than ever. Education must therefore never be reduced solely to the acquisition of technical skills; rather, it should inspire, encourage critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to solve complex problems. In an era defined by profound uncertainty, especially for younger generations, it is a true honor to be part of a continuous positive journey built on education, scientific commitment, and excellence in healthcare and pharmacy. Through a highly selective approach to talent recruitment and sustained investment in professional development and learning, Alkaloid has established itself as a resilient and respected competitor on the global pharmaceutical market," said Mr. Zhivko Mukaetov, President of the Trajche Mukaetov Foundation and CEO of Alkaloid AD Skopje.

For the past eighteen years, the Trajche Mukaetov Foundation has awarded scholarships to 739 pharmacy and medicine students at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje and invested nearly 151 million denars in scholarships and one-time monetary awards to the best students of the generation.

As of November 2022, the scholarships have been set at MKD 7,000 over a 12-month period, distributed evenly for both current and new scholarship recipients until they formally complete their studies.
