Upholding the values that shape Alkaloid’s corporate culture, rooted in humanity, solidarity, and care for the community, more than 4,000 employees, their family members, and friends of the company, carried forward the humanitarian mission organized for the eleventh time under the auspices of the Trajche Mukaetov Foundation.

Humanity is a force that uplifts people, this year brought to life through the image of a hot-air balloon, featured on T-shirts specially designed for the event. Through this initiative, Alkaloid employees, along with their families and friends, raised around 1.8 million denars. The funds will be donated to the Red Cross of the City of Skopje and designated to support social services for senior citizens.

By contributing to the activities and initiatives of the Red Cross of the City of Skopje directed toward social services for senior citizens, we believe that together we can help ensure that old age becomes a period marked by dignity, security, and human warmth. Humanity is a force that uplifts people, and it is precisely through this support that we aspire to help senior citizens overcome challenges and enjoy a more fulfilling and higher-quality life,” said Zhivko Mukaetov, CEO/MB President of Alkaloid and President of the Trajche Mukaetov Foundation.

Suzana Tuneva-Paunovska, Secretary of the Red Cross of the City of Skopje (RCCS), added: “One of our missions at the RCCS is to help elderly individuals live with dignity and security in their later years. Their challenges are considerable – loneliness, reduced mobility, and financial hardship – but that is why we are here. Through home visits, the Emergency Button device, sanitary transport, and day centres for active aging, we provide them with support, security, and adequate care. Yet, this mission would not be possible without strong and committed partners. With Alkaloid, we know that we are not alone – their support strengthens our resolve and enables us to expand our activities, actions, and initiatives. Together, we can accomplish more!”

In alignment with the values that underpin Alkaloid’s corporate culture – humanity, solidarity, and care for the community – the company has established a long-standing humanitarian partnership with the Red Cross, supporting this organization not only in the sphere of social-humanitarian activities and crisis and disaster response, but also in blood donation initiatives.

The inaugural humanitarian picnic organized by Alkaloid, held under the auspices of the Trajche Mukaetov Foundation, took place on September 3, 2011.
