Delegation from the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) Visits Alkaloid

In cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Skopje, representatives of the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) paid a working visit to Alkaloid. This visit, the third of its kind, aimed to familiarize various groups of young leaders with the working environment and practices of some of Macedonia’s most successful private companies.

During the visit, the guest working group was guided by the Alkaloid team, led by Chief Executive Officer and President of the Management Board Zhivko Mukaetov. The delegation had the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the company’s business achievements, long-term investment projects, export operations, and ongoing socially responsible initiatives within Alkaloid’s corporate agenda. The program also included a tour of the company’s production facilities within the Pharmaceuticals Department and its Research and Development Institute.

Particular emphasis was placed on Alkaloid’s operations in the United States, where in 2005 Alkaloid AD Skopje established a subsidiary in New Albany, Ohio. In addition to distributing teas from the Good Nature program and Becutan children’s cosmetics, Alkaloid has become a preferred partner for several leading U.S. pharmaceutical companies. Its collaborations with these companies include licensed production, marketing representation, and product distribution authorizations.

Delegation members, including Mr. Nathan Alonzo, Ms. Tory Marie Blew, Ms. Cassie Chambers Armstrong, Mr. Tommy Choi, Mr. Timothy Ragland, Mr. Edward Stockhausen, and Ms. Jessica Stram, expressed their appreciation for Alkaloid’s accomplishments and its strong global positioning, particularly regarding the company’s presence in the U.S. market.

Since its establishment in 1966, ACYPL has enabled its members to develop global political and business perspectives and to build significant international partnerships through numerous exchange programs. To date, with the ongoing support of the U.S. State Department and various partners, more than 9,200 leaders from the U.S. and 137 other countries have participated in the inspiring exchange programs offered by this international network.
